Happy New Year Mooroolbark!
With 2020 done and dusted, we’re not wasting a minute in getting on with things (in a Covid-safe manner – let’s not stuff this up!). We can now announce the opening of applications for stallholders and the January Photo Competition theme.
Celebrate Mooroolbark 2021 is looking to engage market stallholders, small businesses, community groups and makers from Yarra Ranges and Maroondah areas who are interested to take part in our 2021 market.
In these extraordinary times Celebrate Mooroolbark 2021 will look and feel very different, with 8 days of smaller pop-up style events during day and night, around town, on and offline, Wednesday to Wednesday from 24 to 31 March 2021.
The market is confirmed for Saturday 27 March, with a possible 2nd day on Sunday 28th March. It will be held in HOOKEY PARK and the car park on the corner of Brice Ave and George Street, with the hope of closing George Street, too. NOTE: Food vendors will be by invitation only, as we wish to support our local food outlets and cafes as they recover from what has been a disastrous year.
Monthly Photo Competition
Congratulations to all the entrants to our Monthly Photo Competition so far. You sure are giving our judges a hard time. Well done to all of you and keep them coming. Don’t forget, one winner every month receive a $50 Voucher for Croydon Camera House!
The theme for January is Black & White Portraits – we want to see the amazing and diverse community of Mooroolbark in a giant collection of black and white portraits. So get to it! Photograph your loved ones, yourselves, strangers on the street (with their permission of course)… and we’ll present the collection here on our website for all to view.
Below are just some of the fabulous entries from the September to December competitions.
