Entrees to all competitions will be regarded highly if they fit the theme.

Short Film Competition

This is an easy 1-2 minute film competition that you could make using your phone!

Parade participants are invited to dress up in costume appropriate to the theme of “It’s Easy Being Green”. Prizes are awarded to the best dressed groups during the opening ceremony, by Tony Smith MP!

Writing Competition for Students

Get your thinking caps on and explore the ways we can individually and collectively sustain, preserve and beautify our world and its resources, or write an imaginative piece around the theme of environmental sustainability.

Winners will be announced on the main stage of the festival at approximately 11:45am, by James Merlino MP!

Local band, INH, at Celebrate Mooroolbark 2015

INH – Celebrate Mooroolbark 2015 Talent Quest winners.

Red Earth UnEarthed is the event previously known as the Celebrate Mooroolbark Talent Quest. By rebranding as Red Earth UnEarthed, we recognise the history of the “Red Earth” name in Mooroolbark whilst providing the Talent Quest with some new energy. Our vision is to expand our reach in unearthing the talent of Mooroolbark and surrounds.

First prize winners in each category are given the opportunity to perform on the main stage at the festival the following day, Saturday 25 March, 2017.
