Create your own version of Debra Kinsey’s Roundabout Cowl or Beanie and celebrate your love of knitting with the yarn community. It’s fun, inclusive, and designed for all skill levels.

How to Participate
- Purchase the pattern on Ravelry.
- Use the code WOOLSHOW at checkout to receive 30% off for Make-Along participants.
- Gather your yarn and start knitting! Visit Instagram for regular inspo!
- Share progress on social media using #YVWHS26MAL – don’t forget to tag us & Debra Kinsey Knits.
- Bring your finished piece to the Show on 3 May 2026 and wear it with pride.
Guidelines
- Everyone is welcome — beginners and experienced makers alike.
- This is not a competition — there are no winners or judging.
- Enjoy the process, learn, and connect with others in the community.
- Sharing photos of your work online is encouraged to inspire others.

Want to get involved?
We’re always on the lookout for friendly, community-minded volunteers to help bring the Yarra Valley Wool & Handicrafts Show to life!
Whether you’re passionate about fibre arts or simply enjoy being part of a vibrant local event, we’d love to hear from you. Volunteering is a great way to meet like-minded people, get behind the scenes, and contribute to a much-loved community tradition.
Some of the roles we’re looking to fill include:
- Greeting visitors and providing information
- Assisting at the entry door and distributing VIP bags
- Helping with fibre arts and craft demonstrations
- Supporting our outdoor stallholders
- Coordinating food stall logistics
- Collecting feedback and surveys on the day
- Set up and pack down crew
Planning for our 2026 event is already underway, and we’d love to connect with anyone interested in getting involved.
