Although our heritage generally reflects the history of European settlement from the early 1830’s, there are also tangible elements that connect us with the lives of the Bunurrong and Wawurrong people and the traditional Wurundjeri-Balluk territory.

We aim to promote, understand and conserve the built and cultural heritage of the Yarra Ranges. There are 280 places of cultural significance in the area and another 1,000 have been nominated to be protected under the planning scheme.
