Schools & Preschools

Dear Principal, Teachers and Educators,

So while you are busy planning classes for the new year, keep the festival in mind!

The theme for Celebrate Mooroolbark 2020 is…….

Red Earth Awakened – 40 Years On…!

It was 1980 when the Mooroolbark Community Centre was opened, with a festival which was to be called the Red Earth Festival. It was a huge success and became the largest festival in Victoria. The last Red Earth Festival took place in 2001 and from small beginnings, Celebrate Mooroolbark took its place in 2002.
Our theme Red Earth Awakened – 40 Years On… is celebrating 40 years of both festivals in Mooroolbark; looking at the history of our festivals, at where we are today and where we will be in another 40 years. (We know one thing for sure, we won’t have a level crossing and we will have a sky rail!)

Please use the form below to let us know which areas you will be involved in and which staff member, parent or carer will be the contact person for that activity.

You will need to fill in a new form for each contact person.

As activities open for entries, application forms will be provided here on our website. Here are the direct links to those that are already open:
