Register to join the 2019 Street Parade.

The Street Parade starts at 10am sharp on Saturday 23 March. The walk will be slightly longer than previous years to include the rest of Brice Avenue.
Join in with your school, business, community group or a bunch of creative friends! You can walk, ride or drive (as long as it’s at walking pace). Floats are welcome, as are classic cars, hotrods or otherwise spectacular vehicles.

BEST DRESSED PRIZES

1st Prize $400

Runner Up $200

Dress to the theme to be in the running!

The theme for Celebrate Mooroolbark 2019 is…….

Dare to Dream!

This year we are focusing on local groups and individuals who contribute to the Mooroolbark community. We want to share the stories of the innovators and risk-takers who inspire us.

It could be a shop owner who is always welcoming and friendly, or a business that operates according to the principles of mutual profitability (concerned for both the wellbeing of the community and the environment). A volunteer organisation who is giving of themselves for the safety of our community or helping others achieve their goals. A child with a unique gift of sharing and consideration for others. A dedicated teacher or mentor who motivates you, or a caregiver who encourages and supports you.

Someone you admire or who you are proud to know. Those unsung heroes who may not have actually set out  to improve the lives of others, and might not even realise they are making a difference.

ANYONE WHO IS FOLLOWING THEIR DREAMS OR HELPING YOU TO FOLLOW YOURS!

We are interested to hear your interpretations of the theme. We know there are local people who aren’t afraid to reach for the sky, but is there a technology or invention that has changed your life for the better? An idea or special cause that you support and want to involve your fellow community members?

What inspires you? Who inspires you? We look forward to hearing your ideas!

Entrants’ costumes will be judged after the completion of the parade and two groups will be awarded prizes by longtime Celebrate Mooroolbark supporter, Federal Minister for Casey, Tony Smith MP.
